These lovely hand-crafted cushions were a joy to make and would make a lovely additional to any home, and to top it all off they are 10% off from now until the end of Sunday, don’t miss your chance to have one of your own!

Sun glorious sun!
I enjoyed a sunny spot in a sunny park for a little bit this afternoon and made friends with these rather lovely daisies.
I
Fright night: 6/10. Colin Farrell and that awesome guy from Like Crazy. A funny and uniquely clever take on a vampire film. Entertaining but not one to go out of your way to see.
Harry Potter number 3: 6/10. No idea what the actual name of the film is but it’s better than the 1 one which is the only other Harry Potter film that I have seen. Loved the big names but the kids aren’t great at acting and the plot is pretty simple. I know it’s a children’s film but I expected more.
Miss congeniality: 8/10. I love this film, seen it about 7 times now but still laugh all the way through. Sandra is awesome.
Shattered glass: 7/10. I really enjoyed this film but found the lead character a little too real and a little too creepy, which I guess means it was acted well.
Grey’s Anatomy season 8 finale: 11/10. I’m breaking the rules here by reviewing a tv programme but Grey’s is the greatest show ever so I’m making an exception. I LOVE Grey’s and I have yet to watch a season finale that disappointed, in fact, overlooking a strange singing episode, I have yet to find an episode that disappointed.
I have to be honest, the teeny-bopper inside does love the original but I LOVE Ben Howard and love their version. The awesome cello helps.

My love affair with The National continues. As you know from my gushing report of Bloodbuzz Ohio a few months ago these guys are one of my favourite bands. AND as if the band themselves weren’t enough the song was in ‘Warrior’ which is in my top 3 films of all time. What a winner of track.
I was asked over the weekend which bands would I like to see live and I should have responded with the following;
1. The National
2. The Rescues
3. Bon Iver
4. Olly Murs - I can’t myself, I’m a pop geek at heart, plus he is super entertaining!
Instead I said Beyonce, not that I wouldn’t want to see her, just that she shouldn’t be my number 1. Phew, now that that is out in cyber space I feel all is right with the world again.

Fallen (and head-less!) angel.
Not too sure what happened to this winged statue but it showed up outside out house this week. Very strange indeed.
Extremely loud and incredibly close: 8.5/10. This is a beautiful piece of cinema, all the actors are amazing, especially Sandra who is in the top 3 of my gal-pal wish list… Well worth a watch, but have tissues handy. However, I would recommend the book first, there is a lot more to the story that the film simply couldn’t add in, mostly because then it would have become an epic mini-series.
21 Jump Street: 8/10. Hilarious, I went with low expectations but this film impressed me, it was funny in all the right places, not overly-crude like so many ‘comedies’ now-a-days, and oh my do I love Channing.
Super 8: 5/10. This film failed to hold my attention, I wanted big things from it, some complexity in the plot, some realistic action scenes, emotion from the father-son relationship that had just been turned on it’s head after the loss of the mother- but nope. I did rate Ella Fanning as an actress but apart from that it’s 1 hour 51minutes that I’ll never get back. J J I expected more.
ps. apologies to the hubby I know he liked super 8.

I am officially a registered company…eeek!
Feeling a mix of emotions; excited, nervous, apprehensive…exhausted (but that could be due to a 12 hour day at work!).
I’m still working on a few final products and have a website under construction. Watch this space!
Young adult: 8/10. I am not a Charlise fan at all but could not resist enjoying this cracker of a film. The script is thought-provoking and the film is well made and beautifully acted.
Hunger games: 9/10. I LOVED this film. Well worth the hype, brilliantly fun and exciting and gripping, I spent most of the film on the edge of my cinema seat with my heart in my throat. I left wanting more and routing for a certain Hemsworth. (Also left wanting to see more of Jennifer Lawerence, one of my new wannabe gal pals, make room Drew and Sandra).
Like crazy: 8/10. I wasn’t expecting much of this film but have to say it blew me away. Beautifully acted and very cleverly filmed. I felt every emotion and was left feeling exhausted but like I’d been on a beautiful journey.
All in all a good week for films
A fab little song from Like Crazy.
